    A Force Sensor is a transducer that converts mechanical load into mV signal proportional to the applied force.The acting force causes deformation of the measuring element,the bonded strain gage deforms accordingly which will cause the resistance change of the wheatstone bridge,under constant power supply, the output signal between Sig+ and Sig- will change proportionally,thus the load/force can be measured by measuring the output signal from the transducer.

    Output signal of load cell and amplifier:
    Load cell output: = (Power supply * Rated output) * Load / Capacity
    Rated output of Flange Mounted Press Load Cell FFP is normally around 1.5mV/V.
    Power supply of Press Fit Force Sensor FFP is normally within 3-15V.
    Load / Capacity is within 0-1.
    So the output range of Compression Type Force Sensor FFP is normally within 0…+22.5mV.
    Example one: Column Type Press Force Load Cell FFP-2kN with 1.5mV/V sensitivity powered by 5V DC,the output range is 0mV...+7.5mV.
    Example two: Flange Type Press Force Transducer FFP-500N with 1.5mV/V rated output powered by 10V DC,the output range is 0mV...+15mV.

    The mV/V output from the wheatstone bridge sometimes can hardly be processed directly, a signal conditioner can be used with the load cell to deliver -5~5V, 0-10V or 4-20mA output.
    Example one: Flange Type Press Load Cell FFP-1kN working with amplifier FSC(0-10V)-24V, the Load-Voltage relationship will be 0-1000N compression force VS 0-10V output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 1V output corresponds to 100N compression load, 2V output corresponds to 200N compression load, and so on.
    Example two: Miniature Press-fit Force Sensor FFP-2kN working with amplifier FSC(4-20mA)-24V, the Force-Current relationship will be 0-2000N compression force VS 4-20mA output, which is linear regardless of the measurement error, 4mA output corresponds to “0” load, 5.6mA output corresponds to 200N compression load, 12mA output corresponds to 1000N compression load, and so on.
